《The Story of the Three Bears 三只小熊的故事（下）》小熊一家三口散步回来，看到被人吃过的粥、坐坏的椅子、睡乱的床，一个个又惊又气，开始寻找这个闯入者。他们能找到吗？如果找到了，又会发生什么事？小朋友们，快来发挥你的想象力，把你的想法讲给爸爸妈妈听吧。

这是一个耳熟能详的童话故事，我们的外教也演绎过多个不同的版本。故事通过大量生活细节的对比和重复，建立孩子们对于“大小”这一重要概念的理解，是非常优秀的英语启蒙读物。

 And next she lay down upon the bed of the Middle Bear, and that was too high at the foot for her.

她又躺到了熊妈妈稍小一点的床上，但脚的位置太高了。

And then she lay down upon the bed of the Little, Small, Wee Bear, and that was not too high at the head nor at the foot, but just right.

最后她躺到了最小的熊宝宝的床上，脑袋和脚的位置都刚刚好，非常合适。

So she covered herself up comfortably, and lay there till she fell fast asleep.

所以她舒服地钻进了被窝，很快就睡着了。

By this time the Three Bears thought their porridge would be cool enough, so they came home to breakfast.

此时小熊一家想到粥该凉得差不多了，就回来吃早餐。

Now the little old Woman had left the spoon of the Great, Huge Bear, standing in his porridge.  “Somebody has been at my porridge!”said the Great, Huge Bear, in his great, rough, gruff voice.

老妇人已经喝过了熊爸爸的粥，勺子还留在碗里。“有人喝了我的粥！”熊爸爸扯着粗粗的大嗓门吼道。

And when the Middle Bear looked at his, she saw that the spoon was standing in it, too.

熊妈妈望过去时，看到她的碗里也有一把勺子。

They were wooden spoons; they had been silver ones, the naughty old Woman must have put them in her pocket.

这些勺子是木制的，但熊宝宝一家本来用的是银勺子，这个贪婪的老太婆把它们偷走了。

“Somebody has been at my porridge!”said the Middle Bear in his middle voice.

“有人喝了我的粥！”熊妈妈扯着细细的小嗓门嚷道。

Then the Little, Small, Wee Bear looked at his, and there was the spoon in the porridge-pot, but the porridge was all gone.

接着熊宝宝看了看自己的碗，里面也有一把勺子，但是里面的粥早就被喝光了。

“Somebody has been at my porridge, and has eaten it all up!”said the Little, Small, Wee Bear, in his little, small, wee Bear voice.

“有人喝了我的粥，而且喝得一干二净！”熊宝宝用略带稚气的尖嗓门叫道。 

Upon this the Three Bears, seeing that someone had entered their house, and eaten up the Little, Small, Wee Bear's breakfast, began to look about them.

此时小熊一家意识到，有人闯入了他们的房子，喝光了熊宝宝的粥，于是开始寻找这个家伙。

Now the little old Woman had not put the hard cushion straight when she rose from the chair of the Great, Huge Bear.

而当老妇人从熊爸爸的椅子上起来时，没有把上面的硬垫子摆好。

“Somebody has been sitting in my chair!” said the Great, Huge Bear, in his great, rough, gruff voice.

“有人坐了我的椅子！”熊爸爸扯着粗粗的大嗓门吼道。

And the little old Woman had squatted down the soft cushion of the Middle Bear.

而老妇人坐在熊妈妈椅子上时，蹲在了她的软垫子上。

“Somebody has been sitting in my chair!”said the Middle Bear, in his middle voice.

“有人坐了我的椅子！”熊妈妈扯着细细的小嗓门嚷道。

And you know what the little old Woman had done to the third chair.

你知道老妇人将第三把椅子弄成什么样了吗？

“Somebody has been sitting in my chair and pushed the bottom out of it!” said the Little, Small, Wee Bear, in his little, small, wee voice.

“有人坐了我的椅子而且把中间的板子弄掉了！“ 熊宝宝用略带稚气的尖嗓门叫道。 

Then the three Bears thought it necessary that they should make further search; so they went upstairs into their bed-chamber.

小熊一家意识到有必要做进一步的检查，所以他们来到二楼的卧室里。

Now the little old Woman had pulled the pillow of the Great, Big Bear out of its place.

这时老妇人已经把熊爸爸的枕头扔到了其它地方。

“Somebody has been lying in my bed!”said the Great, Huge Bear, in his great, rough, gruff voice.

“有人睡了我的床！”熊爸爸扯着粗粗的大嗓门吼道。

And the little old Woman had pulled the bolster of the Middle Bear out of its place.

这时老妇人已经把熊妈妈的靠垫扔到了其它地方。

“Somebody has been lying in my bed!”said the Middle Bear, in his middle voice.

“有人睡了我的床！”熊妈妈扯着细细的小嗓门嚷道。

And when the Little, Small, Wee Bear came to look at his bed, there was the bolster in its right place, and the pillow in its place upon the bolster; and upon the pillow was the little old Woman's head--which was not in its place, for she had no business being there.

当小熊跑去看他的床时。靠垫还好好地摆着，枕头也在原位，而枕头上是个老妇人的脑袋——这可不是她该出现的地方，因为她和这里毫无关系。

“Somebody has been lying in my bed--and here she is!” said the Little, Small, Wee Bear, in his little, small, wee voice.

“有人睡了我的床而且她还在这里！“ 熊宝宝用略带稚气的尖嗓门叫道。 

The little old Woman had heard in her sleep the great, rough, gruff voice of the Great, Huge Bear; but she was so fast asleep that it was no more to her than the roaring of wind or the rumbling of thunder.

老妇人在睡梦中听到了熊爸爸粗粗的大嗓门，但她很快又睡着了，只有狂风呼啸、电闪雷鸣才能叫醒她。

And she had heard the middle voice of the Middle Bear, but it was only as if she had heard someone speaking in a dream.

睡梦中她又听到了熊妈妈细细的小嗓门，但那仿佛只是有人在梦中低语一样。

But when she heard the little, small, wee voice of the Little, Small, Wee Bear, it was so sharp, so shrill, that it awakened her at once.

但是当她听到熊宝宝用略带稚气的尖嗓门，如此尖锐，如此刺耳，立刻惊醒过来。

Up she started; and when she saw the Three Bears on the one side of the bed, she tumbled herself out the other side, and ran to the window.

她睁开眼，看到三只熊正趴在床边！她猛地爬起来，从窗子里跳了出去。

Now the window was open, because the Bears, like good, tidy Bears as they were, always opened their bed-chamber window when they got up in the morning.

现在窗户是开着的，因为像他们一家这样喜欢整洁的好熊，早上起来后，总是会打开窗户。

Out the little old Woman jumped; and she ran into the woods and was lost there…or maybe she found her way out of the wood, and was taken up by the constable – we don’t know! But she had left the house far behind her.

老妇人跳了出来，跑进树林，在那里迷路了...也许她找到了出路，被警察带走了——我们不知道！反正她跑的远远的。
